Individual Therapy

113875279Things aren’t going well…

… and they haven’t been for a while.

Some days, you wake up heavy with despair. On other days, the racing in your chest makes it hard to function.

You’re often exhausted, and your body doesn’t cooperate as it used to.

You know something must change.

Those old addictive patterns…

Most of us repeat the same old patterns – stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, and unhealthy relationships. It’s hard to break those habits… no matter how hard we try.

You’ve probably felt that tension. You know what you should or shouldn’t do, but you can’t get yourself to do “the right thing.” Or you might feel so lousy that it’s hard to see a way out.

If this sounds familiar, your feelings and actions are likely springing from past unprocessed wounds – the needs and emotions that weren’t attended to. Our adaptations to those wounds are often unconscious and happen automatically outside our “field of vision.”

To heal, you need someone you can trust to shine a light on those places.

“

A healthy emotional life requires a safe place to express feelings and someone loving to bear witness.

My approach to “individual” therapy…

Our work together will be trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and BIPOC- and LGBTQ+-affirming.

My concern extends beyond you as the person sitting in front of me. I offer a well-rounded, integrated, holistic approach to therapy, so I see you as a whole and seek to understand the many systems you’re a part of: your family, your ancestry, your social connections, and your mind-body connection.

As we work together, I’ll honor your inner knowledge, inherent wisdom, and intelligence in your body.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy works directly with the mind-body connection, incorporating talk therapy with mindfulness and body-centered awareness practices.

Our work will give you insight into the inner workings of your psyche, exposing the core wounds behind the psychological issues you’re facing.

You’ll understand why you do what you do, experience new ways of being and feeling, and create lasting change in your life.

Contextual Family Therapy

Contextual family therapy seeks to reveal the underlying relational dynamics causing distress and dysfunction in your life.

These patterns often remain hidden because they become part of our “normal,” affecting how we relate to life, ourselves, and others.

When you examine your relationships with a focus on fairness, giving and receiving, loyalty and entitlement, and so on, you’ll gain insights that equip you to change how you live and relate to others.

I’m here for you.

Sorting out life…

Gaining insight into what’s holding you back…

Forging a way forward…

I’m here for all of it, helping you live an authentic life.

It would be my honor to walk with you as you heal.
